Overview

Principal/ Sr. Consultant - Compliance & Risk - Controls Tech

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to sales pursuits, consulting offerings and internal initiatives, and participate in a variety of Firm-building events.
• Be part of a cross-cultural global team working on engagements such as Risk & Finance digital transformation and regulatory change management.
• Take up roles in process consulting, experience design, business analysis, applied AI, tech strategy, program and change management.
• Analyze problems and develop solutions, apply business consulting frameworks and methodologies, collaborate with client stakeholders, and be responsible for delivering business results to clients.
• Lead or contribute to delivery of engagements and manage end-to-end delivery timelines.
• Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and provide support for product release.

Basic Qualifications – Technology Product Owner

• Experience in Enterprise Risk, Control, Compliance, preferably in Controls Technology
• Experience in UI/UX programs – defining user interfaces and workflows
• Own the product / value stream vision and drive strategic outcomes
• Lead product functional design and create the product roadmap
• Conduct product backlog prioritization; work in an agile environment, define milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
• Facilitate backlog decomposition sessions with technology teams to clearly define requirements from a user perspective, including acceptance criteria
• Write acceptance criteria in BDD format
• Create strong feedback loops by leading agile events and incorporating feedback into the backlog
• Create BRDs, user stories, and FRDs for features and functionalities
• Partner with the technology team to break down large stories and implement solutions
• Work with the technology team to implement solutions
• Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and support for product release
• Manage end-to-end delivery timelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a customer-centric mindset
• 8-10 years of experience with 5+ years as a lead Technology Product Owner
• Expert in writing detailed functional requirements in JIRA; creating Epics and User stories; defining acceptance criteria
• SQL knowledge; ability to write queries
• Ability to prioritize items that maximize business value with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and team members
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; analytical capabilities
• Experience facilitating collaborative sessions and ensuring work aligns with enterprise goals
• Expertise with agile tool suites (e.g., Atlassian, MS Teams)
• Advanced Product Owner certifications
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural team and across multiple time zones
• Proven track record of delivering products within deadlines
