Principal Specialist, Scheduling – Andover, MA

Security Clearance: DoD Secret (existing clearance required)

What You Will Do
  • Material availability analysis, tracking, and reporting.
  • Manage kit readiness with cross‑functional team in BOM, material master, process engineering, operations, and document control.
  • Release production orders in the MRP system and confirm in shop‑floor system.
  • Coordinate kitting process across multiple stores and consolidation areas.
  • Provide production floor support: replacement part management, shop‑floor material staging, WIP movement, completion of units, deliveries, and schedule adherence.
  • Control physical disposition of non‑conforming or specially handled material (return to vendor, purge, WIP stop, configuration of components).
  • Maintain integrity of shop‑floor, MRP, and inventory systems through key performance metrics.
  • Process piece‑part movement to support internal build requirements via subcontractors, shared resources, and other RTX facilities.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • University degree (or equivalent) with minimum 5years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum 3years.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, or transferable area.
  • Experience with MRP systems and/or special program access.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Lean manufacturing experience and proven track record of lean or Six Sigma projects.
  • Special program access experience.
  • Experience with Wave Track and material/inventory control systems such as Kanban, SMI, continuous flow manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
