Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wichita, KS is seeking a Principal Specialist, Quality Systems & Compliance to support the repair station’s Quality organization as an individual contributor, partnering with the Service Center Team and the Avionics Quality group to ensure continued Quality Management System compliance and regulatory adherence.

This role uses experience to influence processes, standards, and plans to improve compliance with AS9100, FAA, EASA, UK CAA, FAR/DFAR and contracts, and to support

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment
  • Experience in Aerospace/aviation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a focal with Wichita Service Center site leadership for all Quality functional support.
  • Influences others throughout the organization through explanation of policies, government regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standards
  • Provides input and guidance on processes and plans to maintain certification and improve compliance with internal and external standards (including AS9100, FAA, EASA, UK CAA, FAR/DFAR and applicable Military Aviation Regulations) and contracts.
  • Provides support of internal, external, and customer audits
  • Ensures appropriate containment and root cause corrective actions occur for audit findings, product investigations, customer corrective actions, and/or process improvements
  • Supports maintenance of all applicable regulatory documentation
  • Contributes to Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and compliance.
  • Reviews projects, processes, and metrics that impact quality to ensure achievement of quality targets and makes recommendations for improvement.

We are looking for Principal Specialist, Quality Systems & Compliance to join our team at our Wichita - KS site. This role supports the repair station’s Quality organization as an individual contributor while partnering with the Service Center Team and the Avionics Quality organization. This role assists with ensuring continued Quality Management System compliance and compliance with regulatory requirements. This individual will work to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on the organization's compliance goals. What You Will Do

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
