Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, invites applications for a Principal Specialist role in Andover, MA. This position offers exposure to end-to-end program execution and financial performance within the LTAMDS/LADS environment.

The candidate will develop EAC/LRE, maintain logs, and collaborate with Directors, PMs, engineers, and finance teams, driving improvements and staffing decisions in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field required or advanced degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar system is required or highly preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract access.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support Quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) / monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) development.
  • Establish and maintain program logs (Management Reserve, Undistributed Budget, BCRs, etc.).
  • Interface with all levels of management in a matrix organization (Director, PMs, OSC, Engineering, Finance).
  • Identify and implement process improvements to cadence and workflows.
  • Act as a strategic partner to program leadership and assist with staffing decisions.

This is a great opportunity to join the LTAMDS (Lower Tier Area & Missile Defense System) team in the LADS (Land & Air Defense Systems) Sub-Business Unit as a Principal Specialist (P3). In this role, you will gain end-to-end exposure to program execution and financial performance, developing the skills and insights needed to progress toward future leadership roles in Business Management.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and support Quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) / monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) development.
  • Establish and maintain program logs (Management Reserve, Undistributed Budget, BCRs, etc.).
  • Interface with all levels of management as well as work in a matrix environment (Director, PMs, OSC, Engineering, Finance, etc.).
  • Look at ways to improve current processes/cadences or set new ones.
  • Be a strategic partner to the program leadership team, influence at all levels of the organization, and manage staffing.
Qualifications
You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field & 5 years of Finance related experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years' Finance related experience.
  • Experience with SAP and/or a similar system.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
We Prefer
  • Financial experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and/or experience in Estimates at Completion (EACs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with good presentation skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Able to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements in a fast-paced changing business environment.
Location and Schedule

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. The role is in a hybrid capacity (onsite & remote) with the preferred candidate located within a commutable distance to Andover, MA. Relocation assistance is not being offered.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
