What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage critical material orders and supervise procurement personnel on large projects
- Plan and execute material planning, purchasing, and logistics for complex commodities and engineered equipment
- Develop and manage requests for information (RFIs) and requests for quotations (RFQs)
- Lead supplier interactions and manage procurement strategies to meet program requirements
- Conduct formal procurement file maintenance and support compliance with project and regulatory requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience, or a total of ten (10) years of directly related experience if non-degreed
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, and vendors
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-effective manner
- Understanding of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR)
- Familiarity with acquisition strategies and contracting methods under FAR
- Proficiency in Costpoint and Maximo software
- Experience supporting procurement for prime proposal opportunities
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)
