Job summary

Raytheon’s Naval Power business seeks a seasoned Global Trade professional to own and support export/import licensing and compliance activities, develop international strategies, and prepare license applications.

The role requires ITAR/EAR expertise, US citizenship, ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, and minimal travel; candidates should have a degree and relevant experience, and contribute to training and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years in export control, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years.
  • Experience researching and applying ITAR and EAR regulations.
  • Experience applying for, managing, and transacting against ITAR and EAR export authorizations.
  • Experience with Global Trade tools and systems (DECCS, SNAP-R, SAP-GT, OCR EASE) or similar.
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance; active DoD Secret clearance required after day one
  • Minimal domestic travel ~1 per quarter

Responsibilities

  • Own and support export/import licensing and compliance activities within Raytheon’s Naval Power business
  • Develop export/import strategies for international capture, program and supply chain efforts
  • Prepare and submit export/import license applications, agreements, exemptions/exceptions and other requests for U.S. Government approval
  • Provide authorization status updates to leadership and capture/program teams
  • Participate in strategic business engagement at the program level
  • Interpret ITAR and EAR for Naval Power employees
  • Facilitate physical export/import approvals for hardware and other transactional activities involving controlled goods, information and services
  • Determine and certify appropriate legal authority and export authorization, exemption or exception
  • Represent Global Trade with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with company procedures and instructions supporting U.S. Government export/import regulations and company policy
  • Participate in compliance assessments and investigations
  • Develop and deliver training for employees engaged in international business activities
  • Review and approve technical and non-technical information before release to non-U.S. Persons
  • Act as a resource for entry-level Global Trade personnel
  • Collaborate with multiple business functions in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Requirements
  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
  • Experience researching and/or applying ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Experience applying for, managing, and transacting against ITAR and EAR export authorizations
  • Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, SAP-GT, OCR EASE or similar Global Trade tools and/or systems
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1
  • Minimal domestic travel, approximately once per quarter
