Randstad USA is assisting an agile space company dedicated to US National Security in Albuquerque, NM, in recruiting a Principal Electrical Engineer. The role covers end-to-end spacecraft electrical systems, including power, telemetry and communications, with a focus on design, integration and testing.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in electrical system design for space missions, understanding radiation, thermal constraints, and EMC.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in electrical system design, analysis, integration and test for spacecraft systems, with space environmental considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of spacecraft electrical systems (power, telemetry, communications).
• Translate mission needs into functional specs and requirements.
• Oversee integration and testing to meet regulatory and technical standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical and integration issues from design to final testing.
• Provide mentorship and manage essential engineering documentation (schematics, ICDs).
