Job Description:

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits is seeking a Principal Solution Architect with deep expertise in Java, microservices architecture, and AWS cloud solutions. This hybrid role, based in either Dallas, TX or Miramar, FL, is ideal for a hands-on technologist who can lead architecture strategy, guide development teams, and build enterprise-scale distributed systems.

Experience with React and Node.js is a strong plus, as this role will interface with both front-end and backend engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture and design of scalable, secure, and high-performing Java-based microservices
• Define and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Product, and Security
• Guide engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural governance
• Interface with both backend and front-end systems; familiarity with React and Node.js is highly desirable
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with organizational goals

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Proven experience designing and building microservices in a production environment
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture, services, and deployment strategies
• Experience with solution architecture, API design, and integration patterns
• Familiarity with front-end and backend integration; React and Node.js experience is a plus
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD, and DevOps tooling
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week
• Locations: Dallas, TX or Miramar, FL
