The Senior Principal Solution Architect is a pivotal role at the intersection of our solution architecture and sales teams. This requires a hands-on technical leader to significantly impact our growth by designing innovative solutions for our prospects, leading complex implementations, and fostering the growth of our solution architecture talent.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Solution Architecture and works closely with Project Management, Technical Development, Technical Support, Product Development and Customer Success teams.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Solution Design: Work closely with the sales team to deeply understand prospects' business requirements, challenges, and strategic objectives. Design and articulate comprehensive, scalable, and innovative solutions leveraging the client platform, often involving integrations with existing enterprise systems.
  • Leadership in Solution Architecture: Be a recognized leader within the Solution Architecture team. Contribute significantly to defining and deploying solution architecture strategy, best practices, and methodologies. Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching to junior solution architects, fostering their professional development and technical expertise.
  • Technical Leadership in Key Implementations: Act as a technical leader and trusted advisor in client's biggest and most complex implementation projects. Guide customers and implementation teams through technical design decisions, ensuring successful project delivery and maximum value realization from the client platform.
  • Offshore Developer Leadership & Coaching: Provide technical leadership and direct coaching to offshore development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural best practices, quality standards, and project objectives. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between onshore and offshore teams.
  • Product Feedback & Innovation: Provide meaningful and actionable feedback to client's Product Management and Development organizations based on market needs, customer challenges, and implementation experiences. Champion product improvements and contribute to the evolution of client's platform.
  • Presales Expertise: Present and demonstrate client solutions to prospects, tailoring technical explanations to various audiences (business stakeholders, technical teams). Participate in discovery sessions, technical deep dives, and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes. Share knowledge internally and externally, positioning client as a thought leader in the deskless productivity space.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in a solution architect, solution engineer, or similar role within an enterprise SaaS company.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project delivery experience for a SaaS vendor or related professional services company
  • Significant pre-sales experience leveraging presentation skills and the ability to demonstrate solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, integration patterns, and data modeling.
  • Good knowledge of web services and integration
  • Must have excellent written and spoken English communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A proven ability to learn new products, develop technical knowledge and apply new skills in a high-paced environment
  • Prior experience working in a strong, teamwork-focused environment
  • Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or Salesforce.com.
  • Security / Permissions Design experience
  • Experience delivering High-quality wireframes and mockups.

Additional Qualifications

This position will require no more than 20% travel from time to time as set forth by the Company.
