Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Principal Engineer Software Quality to join our team. You will develop, implement, and maintain software quality standards across projects, collaborating with software and systems engineers, DevOps and developers to ensure adherence to requirements.

The role requires a Secret clearance and US citizenship, with potential for overtime, bonuses, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computer engineering, computer science, or STEM field with 5 years of experience; Master's with 3 years.
• Experience with software engineering principles, practices, and theories.
• Experience with software problem tracking tools such as DOORs, Jira, Connfuence.
• Experience with prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• US Citizenship Required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures.
• Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation; implements software development and maintenance processes and methods.
• Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
• Develops operating criteria to ensure software quality program aligns with project, process, and contract requirements.
• Ensures project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements.
• Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements.
• Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• Performs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
