Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks Principal/Sr Principal Software Engineers (on site) in Rancho Bernardo or El Segundo, CA. Join the R&AD division to develop next-generation technologies and deploy them to end users.

Responsibilities include building enterprise solutions, contributing to multiple projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. A TS clearance is required; SCI/SAP access may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of relevant engineering experience, OR Master’s degree in STEM and 3 years, OR PhD and 1 year of related field.
• Sr Principal: Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8 years, OR Master’s degree and 6 years, OR PhD and 4 years.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance and SAP/SCI access.

Responsibilities

• Engineer enterprise solutions that align with best practices to support mission critical objectives.
• Work on 1-3 mid- to large-scale projects concurrently, assigned from program and internal leadership.
• Collaborate with teams across programs to resolve usability issues and design.
• Provide effective communication across multi-functional teams, stakeholders and end-users.
