Job summary

New York Genome Center (NYGC) seeks a Principal Software Engineer to set technical direction and lead the design and delivery of high-impact software across interconnected products and systems. Qualifications

Software architecture and engineering across multiple related technical areas with system-wide view.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction and architecture across software product suite and data systems.
Lead cross-functional projects from discovery through release and production support.
Remain hands‑on in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and documenting production software.
Lead design and evolution of interconnected operational systems supporting genomic testing and data exchange.
Translate stakeholder needs into scalable technical plans and clear implementation steps.
Mentor engineers and collaborate with lab and clinical teams to ensure reliable delivery.
