Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Portland, OR or Remote is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to design, build, and evolve full-stack features for a network-management platform using C# and modern frameworks.

You will develop efficient APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL), extend microservices in Kubernetes, and contribute to an evolving AI-assisted coding workflow, while collaborating with product owners and security-conscious DevSecOps processes.

Qualifications

• BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Deep experience with C#, .NET, and modern design frameworks and tools
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and virtual networking
• Familiarity with security concepts, PKI, and encryption standards
• Experience with container orchestration, Docker Compose, and Helm charts is highly desirable
• Familiarity with web UI design and implementation (Blazor, Angular, JS) is desirable
• Experience developing functionality to monitor/control hardware devices like network routers or sensors is desirable
• Strong communication/documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive attitude

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain full-stack features for the network-management platform using C# and modern frameworks
• Develop efficient APIs using REST, gRPC, GraphQL, etc.
• Build and extend microservices that run in Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security
• Create automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting tasks
• Contribute to emerging AI-assisted coding workflow, evaluating tools and integrating them
• Assist in developing specifications and plans for new designs
• Participate in robust DevSecOps processes with focus on quality implementations
• Produce clear architectural and help documentation
