JOB SUMMARY

The Principal Software Engineer is an individual contributor and an expert full-stack developer on an Agile team, primarily responsible for defining and building software to support one or more business products. The incumbent will lead a diverse group of Software Engineers and work closely with Architects to design, develop, and test highly available, secure, and scalable systems.

DUTIES

• Responsible for producing stable and high-performing applications from scratch.


• Work within Agile methodologies and contribute throughout the entire lifecycle of a user story, with emphasis on coding, unit testing, and deployment pipeline automation.


• Collaborate with other developers to define high-level technical designs and adhere to architectural guidelines.


• Willing to work in a developer-focused team with minimal support from QA.


• Research and learn new technologies and processes as part of continuous improvement.


• Contribute to fostering a high-performance, self-organized team.


• Clearly communicate potential and actual issues to the team and propose solutions.


• Participate as a contributor in one or more technical practice groups.


• Mentor junior software engineers on the team.
