We are seeking a talented Principal Software Engineer to serve as our Compliance Architect, leading compliance strategies, best practices, and secure solutions for our developer and cloud platforms. You will collaborate across teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and data privacy.

What You'll Do

• Develop and own comprehensive compliance strategies ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
• Design and implement security frameworks to protect sensitive data.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, legal, and compliance teams to integrate compliance into the development lifecycle.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and audits, addressing gaps as needed.
• Serve as the point of contact for auditors, providing documentation and participating in reviews.
• Advise internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging technologies to enhance compliance frameworks.
• Guide engineering teams on secure coding and compliance controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Years of experience as a software engineer specializing in compliance architecture or similar.
• Deep knowledge of frameworks like SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, FedRamp, ISO.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices and secure software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience designing compliance strategies in SaaS/cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Golang; experience with security and compliance tools.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 1 week per quarter.
• Availability for on-call support as needed.

Bonus Points

• Certifications like CISSP, CISA.
• Knowledge of risk management, vulnerability assessment, and identity management.
• Understanding of data governance practices.
