Job summary

Lead Bank is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to own designs and services within our banking infrastructure platform. You will guide technical direction, mentor teams, and deliver secure, scalable systems powering fintech products in AWS production environments.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years building production software for large consumer-facing apps, with leadership experience across multi-department projects and expertise in Java, Go, or Ruby backend architectures.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of production software development for large-scale consumer mobile apps.
• Experience as a Principal Engineer or higher.
• Advanced Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading large feature releases across departments.
• Experience architecting scalable backend systems in Java, Go, or Ruby.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a product from infancy into maturation.
• Experience mentoring team members.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
• Strong problem solving and decision making.
• Familiarity with relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, review, test, fix, research, deploy and maintain services and code in AWS production environments.
• Serve as a technical leader, mentor peers, and drive high-quality delivery.
• Prioritize work and manage scope for large, multi-team initiatives.
• Collaborate with product, design, and security to ensure robust architecture.
