Job summary

Lead Bank is seeking a Principal Engineer to own designs and services within our banking infrastructure. You will influence coding practices, guide teammates, and deliver reliable, scalable systems for fintech applications.

The role requires leadership across teams, architecture excellence, and hands-on delivery in a fast-moving environment. Ideal candidates have 15+ years of production software experience for large scale consumer apps, and a strong background in Java, Go, or Ruby, plus AWS

Qualifications

15+ years of production software experience for large scale consumer facing mobile apps.
Experience as a Principal Engineer or higher.
Advanced Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience leading large feature releases across multiple departments.
Experience architecting scalable backend systems in Java, Go, or Ruby.
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Experience partnering with stakeholders to deliver products from infancy to maturation.
Experience mentoring team members.
Strong focus on high quality, maintainable code and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

Design, code, review, test, fix, research, deploy and maintain services in AWS production environments.
Lead technical direction and coding standards within the team.
Mentor peers and drive autonomous delivery of complex features.
Collaborate cross-functionally to scope and deliver scalable banking infrastructure.
