Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive the Digital Twin initiative, leading end-to-end development and interoperability across platforms. You will collaborate with IT and business leaders, reporting to Solutions Engineering leadership to shape product direction and quarterly roadmaps.

The role requires 7+ years in software development, heavy Python/SQL expertise, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related Engineering.
• 7+ years experience in a corporate engineering or software development environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Experience with Python and SQL; proficiency with software engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance of the Digital Twin and related technologies.
• Lead interoperability of the Digital Twin and related data.
• Report on team/project performance KPIs.
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
• Create and update quarterly roadmaps to review with internal and customer leadership.
• Organize and participate in project meetings covering scope, requirements, design, planning, and status.
• Apply best practices in analysis, design, coding, testing, and production control in a collaborative environment.
• Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback.
• Ensure software is updated with latest features.
• Write well-designed, testable code.
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
