Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to architect and build simulation systems for large-scale robotic platforms used in warehouse automation. You will transform production data into experimental data, generate synthetic datasets, and automate analysis pipelines to derive actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years of software engineering experience with simulation environments and optimization solutions.
• Expertise in computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design.
• Experience transforming production data, ETL pipelines, and data wrangling using Pandas, NumPy, or SQL.
• Familiarity with data science workflows: experimentation, statistical analysis, and visualization.
• Ability to architect modern hierarchical simulation systems for complex software with multiple fidelity levels.
• Plus: experience with ML and cloud computing models and tools for training in simulation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey results to leadership.
