Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the DGX Cloud team to design and scale automation platforms across global GPU infrastructure. You will own API and workflow systems, mentor engineers, and drive orchestration across cloud environments, applying deep distributed-systems expertise.

Lead with a customer-focused mindset, align with executive and engineering leadership, and push for high-reliability, scalable solutions that reduce manual toil and accelerate AI workflows.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of progressive industry experience.
• Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience defining and shipping complex distributed systems.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in operating and scaling services in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python.
• Experience with global cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Lead the build and development of APIs, state management, and workflow orchestration for fleet lifecycle operations at scale.
• Drive technical alignment across dependent systems and partner teams with clear interfaces and reliable end-to-end workflows.
• Mentor senior engineers to elevate technical standards across the organization.
• Focus on customer experience and translate technical insight into business outcomes.
• Codify critical business processes into scalable, self-measuring platforms to reduce manual toil.
• Direct integration strategy for AI schedulers (Kubernetes, Slurm) and observability systems (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana).
