Job summary

PrismHR is seeking a senior architect to own the technical direction of our multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will design and build critical components, write specifications, and communicate clearly with engineers and executives.

This is not a hands-off role; you’ll influence architecture and production behavior from day one. Responsibilities include shaping the SPA over a Node.js API tier, evaluating technologies, and solving mobile performance, accessibility, and observability challenges.

Qualifications

• 10+ years with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Expert-level Angular 2+ single-page applications.
• Expert-level Node.js and Express services, APIs, microservices.
• Docker and AKS or equivalent.
• Architectural judgment on multi-tenant SaaS - security, performance, scale.
• The ability to hold a technical position with executives through credibility, not authority.

Responsibilities

Job description

Set the technical direction - then build it yourself. This is not an architecture role that hands specs to other people. You design it, write meaningful parts of it, and stay accountable for how it behaves in production. PrismHR is the HR, payroll, and benefits platform used by employer-services organizations across the US, backed by Vensure Employer Solutions. The problem is genuinely interesting: a mature payroll engine customers depend on absolutely, and a modern multi-tenant SaaS layer being built around and through it. You will design single-page applications over a Node.js API tier, evaluate technologies and build proof-of-concepts, write technical specifications, and communicate them credibly to engineers and executives alike. Live problems right now: mobile performance, per-tenant branding without redeployment, accessibility, and making a distributed system observable enough to diagnose rather than guess. You will need:

• 10+ years with TypeScript and JavaScript

Nice to have: legacy modernization, observability depth, accessibility standards, payroll or HCM domain knowledge. The schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time), Monday to Friday.
