Job summary

MedAcuity, LLC seeks a Principal Software Engineer with strong C#/.NET expertise to lead design, development, and testing of medical device software and related tools in the Microsoft stack. You will define software requirements, evaluate new frameworks, and drive the project’s technical vision with a focus on security, safety, and reliability.

You will guide a team of engineers across projects, mentor others, and collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of software development with fluency in C#, C++, and/or Python.
• Familiarity with UI frameworks (WPF/UWP), microservices, and asynchronous programming.
• 5+ years of leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Desire to design solutions, define specs, create documentation, assess timelines, and review code.
• Lead requirements gathering, interfacing with key stakeholders on the client side, establishing MedAcuity’s relationship.
• Expert understanding of object-oriented design principles and modern software development best practices.
• Abide by and ensure compliance with MedAcuity’s policies, including Information Security and Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on C# applications using technology such as WPF, UWP, SOA, Entity framework, and gRPC.
• Follow the full design life cycle process including driving efforts in requirements specification, design activities, planning, code reviews and creating corresponding artifacts.
• Provide complete expert engineering solutions to impactful and high‑visibility client initiatives and projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of talented Software Engineers that may change each project.
• Promote a collaborative environment and pragmatic engineering decision‑making.
• Build collaborative relationships with key leaders and peers, internally and externally, across the organization.
