The Opportunity

Our location in Irving, TX currently has an opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer- Architect. The Principal Software Engineer- Architect will be responsible in applying advanced engineering knowledge to complete complex assignments, who leads software architecture and the design of subsystems and contributes to the development of new principles and concepts.

What You’ll Work On

• Demonstrates expert knowledge and proficiency in the complete software development process; leads and is accountable for the software architecture and interfaces for all features of a subsystem.
• Defines software design architecture for a system, identifying features, components and their internal and external interactions.
• Defines system level design and technology specific implementation patterns drawing upon industry best practices.
• Defines third party software component/integration strategy.
• Defines design patterns, coding styles, software development environment, unit testing environment, integration testing environment and performance testing environment for all features in a subsystem.
• Defines the future state roadmap of CI/CD, third party component management, and cybersecurity design for a subsystem.
• Defines system wide architecture for CI/CD, deployment, networking, and security.
• Collaborates in the architecture definition for test automation, hardware and external interface simulation.
• Defines system wide hardware and external interface simulation architecture.
• Provides overall technical leadership support in use case analysis, feature definition, user needs and functional and nonfunctional requirements.
• Defines comprehensive software design architecture for a subsystem.
• Author’s architecture description document, and high-level design documents.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or closely related STEM field
• Minimum 10 years of related experience.
• Master’s degree with minimum of 6 years of experience.
• Experience in Multithreaded applications, low level control of robots
• Expert level of understanding of test-driven methodologies
• Expert level of knowledge with continues integration and continues development (CI/CD)
• Expert level understanding of design patterns
• Experience in Embedded Development

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong data analytical & problem-solving skills
• Demonstraded ability in providing guidance to junior team members
• Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently communicate technical topics to all levels within their team
• Ability to develop and design at the feature-level
• Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Evolves the architecture to support future requirements and defines its service level agreements (SLAs)
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently communicate technical topics to all levels within their team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilties.
• Experience in leading the technical excellence of the system and creates plans to mitigate outages

The base pay for this position is $111,300.00 – $222,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
