As a Principal Software Engineer, you’ll contribute directly to embedding AI across workflows, including delivery, product, and strategy. You’ll help accelerate client outcomes through our AI Accelerator and play a hands-on role in the evolution of tools like TestPilot AI, which uses natural language and generative intelligence to automate mobile and web testing.

You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in client-facing AI workshops, where we explore real-world applications of generative AI and collaborative innovation. If you’re excited by the power of applied AI, this is your platform to lead.

What You’ll Do

As a Principal Software Engineer at InRhythm, you will:

• Architect and deliver high-performance, scalable, and accessible web applications using Angular and Typescript
• Build responsive user interfaces optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile using modern Angular architecture and enterprise design systems
• Implement PWA (Progressive Web App) principles to ensure fast load times, offline capability, and seamless experiences
• Adhere to WCAG 2.1 and ADA accessibility standards to ensure inclusive, user-friendly interfaces
• Integrate real-time features such as dashboards and notifications, enabling dynamic and intuitive user interactions
• Define and break down epics and features into actionable stories while maintaining a strong view of overall system architecture
• Guide the implementation of Domain Driven Design, Microservices, and Event Sourcing within frontend/backend integrations
• Lead architectural reviews, design decisions, and promote best practices across engineering squads
• Collaborate in agile, cross-functional squads with product managers, designers, QA, and DevOps
• Lead within the Web Engineering Practice by mentoring engineers, conducting interviews, leading tech talks, and advocating for innovation and quality

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience upgrading enterprise applications to Angular 16+ and implementing design systems
• Deep understanding of performance optimization techniques and frontend architecture principles
• Hands-on experience implementing WCAG 2.1 and ADA-compliant solutions
• Experience with PWA features like service workers, offline caching, and app manifest integration
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
• A consulting mindset: proactive, strategic, and confident in front of clients

• Strong communication and leadership skills

The compensation range for this position in Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid) is up to $150,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on level and position offered.
