Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for our Air Traffic Solutions - Software Engineering Department, working remotely from the United States. You will lead development and maintenance of ATMS software, contribute to documentation, and participate in agile ceremonies while collaborating with cross-functional teams across programs.

The role requires strong C/C++ expertise, Unix/Linux experience, and a proven track record with agile practices and containerization

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
• Experience developing, integrating, testing and validating software components in an Unix/Linux environment

Our Connected Aviation – Air Traffic Solutions - Software Engineering Department (ATS-SED) is looking for a talented experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our team developing and supporting our Air Traffic Control Systems worldwide. We develop safety-of-life air traffic management systems for mulit-national customers used for controlling and monitoring civil and military aviation traffic. This is an opportunity to be a subject matter expert and solve complex system issues.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
