Job description

As a Principal Software Developer, you will participate as a member of a product development team, utilizing industry knowledge of software development best practices, company-established processes and standards, and strong product knowledge. This role involves working with our Data Integrity Suite Governance and Catalog module development team to maintain existing features and build new components and services to support the product. The platform is SaaS-based and globally distributed on AWS. You will ensure that the development needs of the product and team are fulfilled.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Develop, design, code, test, package, and document new software products.
2. Maintain existing software products, including designing, coding, testing, and documenting revisions.
3. Participate in analysis, design, and implementation phases of product development.
4. Provide input and feedback during design, planning, implementation, and testing of projects.
5. Collaborate with project leads and teams to plan, estimate, schedule, and implement development tasks.
6. Report project status in accordance with plans.
7. Review product documentation and training materials.
8. Participate in product release and turnover meetings.

Preferred Candidate Profile

1. 10+ years of experience in software product development, preferably in backend technologies like Java and Node.js, with at least 4+ years in Node.js.
2. Strong experience in Microservices architecture.
3. Strong experience with REST APIs.
4. Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript.
5. Experience with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
6. Ability to identify and document problems clearly and communicate resolutions effectively.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
