Job summary

Tradeweb Markets LLC in Golden, CO is seeking a Principal Engineer to own end-to-end architecture and implementation of new Fixed Income trading systems, reporting & analytics integrations, and CI/CD configurations. You will lead architecture decisions, mentor teammates, and help deliver highly available services.

We value cloud expertise with AWS, experience with Anthropic Claude for agentic AI workflows, and strong skills in Java Spring, Python or Rust, SQL, ReactJS, and REST/RPC APIs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive full-stack software engineering experience.
• 5+ years contributing to architecture and design of software systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Experience building highly available, fault-tolerant, event-driven or distributed systems.
• Deep experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience using AI to boost productivity, especially Anthropic Claude.
• Experience with Java Spring, Python or Rust, SQL databases, ReactJS, and REST or RPC APIs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end architecture and implementation for Fixed Income trading systems.
• Own reporting and analytics integrations, including CI/CD configurations.
• Champion modern, efficient paradigms in systems and code.

Group Details

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for delivery of end-to-end architecture and implementation of new Fixed Income trading systems, Reporting & Analytics Integrations, thorough test implementations, CI/CD Configuration and implementation of modern and efficient paradigms in systems and code.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive full-stack software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design of software systems.
• Very clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Experience building and clear understanding of highly resilient & fault-tolerant systems, including event-driven or distributed systems with high availability.
• Deep experience with cloud engineering with AWS infrastructure experience.
• Experience using AI to boost personal productivity, especially Anthropic Claude.
• Experience with Java Spring, Python or Rust, SQL databases, ReactJS, and REST or RPC APIs.

Preferred

• 10+ years of progressive full stack software engineering experience.
• 6+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design of software systems.
• AWS Certifications, such as Solutions Architect, Developer or other Associate/Professional level certifications.
• Prior experience with agentic AI and agentic workflows, especially using Anthropic Claude.
• Experience promoting best practices and mentoring colleagues across an organization.

• The current pay range for this role is currently $ 195,000 to $250,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, and internal guidelines.
• This role will also be eligible to participate in Tradeweb’s discretionary bonus program.
• This role is expected to remain open until 8/3/2026.
