Job summary

Benz Technology Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer at Fort Meade, MD with a TS/SCI clearance and polygraph.

The role focuses on high-performance software for advanced analytics, low-level systems programming, binary analysis, and algorithm development. The candidate will translate complex requirements into scalable software architectures, design and optimize OS-level components, and develop tools for binary analysis and reverse engineering.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python for software development and scripting.
• Ability to read and understand C/C++ and x86 assembly.
• Experience with operating system internals and architectures.
• Hands-on knowledge of compilers, debuggers, and low-level development concepts.
• Familiarity with executable program analysis, system APIs, and memory management.
• Strong algorithm development skills across data structures, dynamic programming, and heuristics.
• Background in malware analysis and shellcode detection is a plus.
• Experience with reverse engineering of compiled software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications supporting mission requirements.
• Analyze customer needs and translate designs into scalable software architectures.
• Develop efficient algorithms leveraging data structures, dynamic programming, heuristics, and modeling techniques.
• Work at the operating system level including file I/O, system APIs, and memory management.
• Develop advanced tools for binary analysis, shellcode detection, function identification, and reverse engineering.
• Analyze and modernize legacy codebases and validate prototypes to prove concepts.
