Job Title: Principal Software Engineer – Cloud, AI & Full Stack

Location: Remote / Full-Time (U.S. based candidates only, On-shore required)

Duration: 4 months

We’re seeking a visionary Principal Software Engineer to help drive the development of our AI-first, cloud-platform. In this role, you’ll thrive in a dynamic startup setting where innovation and speed are paramount.

This is a role for a strategic builder and communicator - someone with 10+ years of experience in full-stack development and architecting scalable, cloud-platforms. You should have a deep technical foundation, strong business acumen, and a passion for engineering solutions that seamlessly connect infrastructure, advanced AI, and real-world business needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architect and develop full-stack applications using Next.js / Node.js, including a multi-tenant RBAC admin panel for managing users and organizational data
• Develop a conversational AI chatbot that integrates multiple data sources, parses and synthesizes diverse information, and delivers intelligent, context-aware insights
• Design and manage vector databases and knowledge bases to support semantic search and retrieval-augmented (RAG)
• Build intelligent ELT pipelines that power AI workflows and insights
• Align closely with product and leadership to guide technical direction and vision
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to analyze data, uncover key insights, and identify pain points that inform product and technical priorities
• Apply security-first principles and best practices across the entire stack, ensuring the platform is robust, resilient, and protected against threats
• Manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure in Google Cloud, using GitOps with Argo CD
• Champion code quality, observability, and security across the stack

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator – able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
• 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including building and shipping production systems in startup or high-growth environments
• Deep experience with cloud orchestration platforms: Kubernetes, Argo CD, and Google Cloud Platform
• Proficient in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Next.js) and backend development with Node.js
• Strong command of Python, especially in the context of machine learning, data pipelines, and AI integrations
• Experience building and optimizing scalable, high-performance, and maintainable codebases
• Skilled in designing ELT pipelines, data infrastructure, and working with large datasets
• Experience implementing and managing vector databases and building knowledge bases to power intelligent retrieval and RAG pipelines
• Familiarity with agentic AI architectures, particularly with Crew AI, and integrating AI into end-to-end user-facing features
• Proven ability to work closely with business teams to extract data-driven insights and turn them into actionable product and engineering outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into technical solutions, aligning product priorities with scalable engineering strategies
• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with a proactive and adaptable mindset
