Job summary

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead research and development for CyberAI software solutions used by customers, with a strong emphasis on Computer Network Operations and Offensive Cyber Operations. The role is hybrid, requiring three onsite days per week and an active TS/SCI clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 11 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong debugging expertise.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and socket-level programming.
• Knowledge of CNO development concepts.
• Background in software analysis and reverse engineering.
• Experience with assembly programming and assembly-level analysis.
• Deep understanding of Windows, Unix/Linux, network devices, mobile devices, or unit test frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab for source control, issue tracking, code review, and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Ability to conduct packet capture, traffic inspection, and protocol analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Strong understanding of Windows internals and Windows APIs, with software development experience in C/C++.
• Experience developing, analyzing, and debugging shellcode, including position-independent code (PIC).
• Hypervisor development experience is a plus.

Job description

Assured Information Security (AIS) is looking for a Principal Software Engineer with a strong background in Computer Network Operations (CNO) and Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO), to join our CyberAI team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading and contributing to the research and development of innovative software solutions and critical applications leveraged by our customers.

This is a hybrid position, with an onsite requirement of 3 days per week. This position also requires an active TS/SCI*.

What You’ll Do

Education/Experience/Skillset Required

US Salary Range: $141,000 - 196,000

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
