Job summary

KBR's Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead architecture, development and integration for a new Modeling and Simulation Lab in Huntsville, AL.

You will collaborate with government customers and in-house teams to insert new technologies, implement communication between devices, databases and services, and demonstrate capabilities. Travel up to 15% and on-site work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS or STEM with 10+ years of experience or Master's with 5+ years.
• Experience with Agile processes and Jira.
• APIs and interoperability across software products.
• GOTS/COTS integration and defense software labs.
• Knowledge of Java, C, C++, MATLAB, Python; Git/Gitlab/DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development and optimization of software for a Modeling and Simulation Lab.
• Research tech insertion and verify communication between devices, databases and services.
• Collaborate with in-house and GOTS simulation/tool developers and demonstrate to Government customers.
• Travel up to 15% and work on-site when required.
