Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Principal SoC Architect to lead the architecture of next-generation Edge AI, robotics and autonomous driving platforms. You will own end-to-end SoC definitions, unifying GPUs, vision accelerators and real-time processors into a single silicon fabric.

Role requires 15+ years of design expertise, strong leadership across disciplines, and advanceddegrees in engineering. Competitive compensation includes base salary and equity consistent with Level 6/7 bands.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of deep architecture design experience in high-performance silicon.
• Meaningful industry expertise in top-level SoC definition with robotics and automotive I/O knowledge.
• Deep understanding of real-time compute, deterministic latency, and mixed-criticality workloads.
• Exceptional cross-functional technical leadership across micro-architecture to software layers.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End SoC Lifecycle Ownership: define and drive hardware architecture from concept through bring-up and ecosystem enablement.
• Robotics & Automotive co-design: collaborate with software, DL, and safety teams for low-latency robotics and autonomous driving pipelines.
• PPA modeling & analysis: perform performance, power, and area modeling optimized for thermally constrained enclosures and ECUs.
• Specification & modeling: author architecture specs and drive model development for validation.
• Architectural validation: define plans to ensure real-time execution and safety metrics.
• Post-silicon & production support: silicon debug, performance tuning, and documentation for tier-1 robotics and automotive customers.
