Job Description:

This role is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for solutions at the program or portfolio level, to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities include continuously improving the design, quality, and reuse of the solution and delivering technology enablers that enhance development efficiencies. Job expectations include familiarity with at least one area of engineering, acting as a "go-to" reference across the organization, and applying knowledge to improve technical competencies through recruitment and development activities.

Position Summary:

Bank of America seeks an experienced, senior ServiceNow developer to implement ServiceNow's SecOps modules in a new, "greenfield" instance. This role involves leading the engineering approach for ServiceNow SecOps modules at the program or portfolio level to achieve key business outcomes. Expectations include expertise in at least one engineering area, acting as a technical reference, and fostering technical growth within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop the engineering approach for the ServiceNow SecOps solution and collaborate with cross-functional teams for implementation.
  2. Lead the design and development of ServiceNow feature configurations, exploring solution alternatives as needed.
  3. Provide thought leadership on ServiceNow development practices and platform capabilities.
  4. Oversee technical aspects of development teams, including design reviews and adherence to best practices.
  5. Define the technology stack for the ServiceNow SecOps solution within approved technologies.
  6. Explore innovative technologies to improve development efficiency, testing, and release management.
  7. Lead the end-to-end test strategy, creation, and integration efforts.
  8. Serve as the "go-to" resource for ServiceNow SecOps development expertise within Bank of America's Cybersecurity organization.
  9. Coordinate with IT, Asset Management, and Risk & Compliance teams to align SecOps and platform processes.
  10. Contribute to the ServiceNow roadmap, planning system investments aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, across multiple modules and core capabilities.
  • Experience configuring ServiceNow Workspaces, Flows, ACLs, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions/Pages, Forms, Playbooks, Portals, Reports.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations, including Scripted REST APIs.
  • Support experience for platform upgrades and change remediation.
  • Advanced scripting skills with best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Soft Skills:
  • Leadership and mentorship abilities within technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (preferred but not required).
Certifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • ITIL v3 or v4 (preferred).
