Amazon is seeking a Principal Accounting Manager to own process improvement, systemization, and technical accounting for Seller Services balances and activity in a fast-paced, global environment. You will design automation and reconciliation solutions across high-volume processes, own accounting design for new programs and geographic launches, set estimation methodology, and remediate technical debt.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience.
• 12+ years of finance, accounting, or related analytical field experience.
• Experience with process improvement and delivery of financial features.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary accounting owner for the portfolio, delivering accurate financial reporting and directly influencing senior leaders.
• Lead end-to-end automation and process-improvement initiatives that increase productivity and strengthen the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of recurring entries.
• Identify and deliver AI and automation solutions that reduce manual effort across accounting processes.
• Own the portfolio's inputs to external financial reporting, including support for 10-K and 10-Q disclosures, and present key findings to senior accounting leadership.
• Own the accounting design and implementation for new business, program, and geographic launches.
• Prepare and reviewing technical accounting memos under US GAAP, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Assess the design and effectiveness of controls in the area, and design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
