Job summary

LPL Financial Holdings Inc. is seeking a Principal Security Architect to design and oversee cloud, on-prem, and data security architectures.

You will collaborate with Development, Operations, Business units, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure secure, monitored environments and to implement zero-trust and secure DevOps across diverse IT ecosystems. The role emphasizes threat modeling, risk assessment, and policy development, with a focus on AI/ML security and data privacy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Secure Architecture Designs.
• 8+ years of experience with information security controls, guidelines, and standards (e.g., ISO27000 series, OWASP, CSA CCM, CIS 20, SOX, NIST).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Secure APIs by implementing robust access control, OAuth, JWT, and API gateway security.
• Develop reusable security design patterns across technology stacks and business domains.
• Craft security standards and policies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead design and innovation of security architectures to protect while enabling business agility.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align security initiatives with business objectives.
• Demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, network/cloud security, identity management, and encryption.
• Threat modeling, risk assessment, vulnerability management, SIEM, and incident response in enterprise settings.
• Oversee a risk management framework balancing security investments with business needs.
