GSK seeks a Principal Scientist in Predictive Sciences within the CMC Digital & Knowledge Management department to lead model-informed process development across biologics. You will deploy mechanistic, hybrid, and data-driven models, integrating AI agents and digital solutions to accelerate decisions from bench to patient.

Qualifications

• PhD (or Master’s with 2 years of industry experience) in data science, computational science, AI/ML, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or a closely related field.
• Experience building predictive models for bioprocesses, such as mechanistic, hybrid, or data-driven and chemometric models.
• Proficiency in Python and scientific computing stacks (NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch) and experience with MATLAB, gPROMS, SIMCA, JMP.

Responsabilités

• Build and deploy advanced process models: mechanistic, hybrid, and data-driven across upstream cell culture, chromatography, filtration, and formulation.
• Translate science into software by converting mathematical models into working tools (Python, MATLAB, gPROMS, SIMCA, JMP).
• Champion adoption of digitally redesigned CMC workflows across the organization and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.
• Design and build agentic AI systems that autonomously parse data, propose designs, and surface actionable recommendations to scientists and decision makers.
• Collaborate with R&D, pilot plants, and commercial supply chain to embed data integrity and governance throughout modeling work.
