-B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical industry
-Strong expertise in analyzing oligonucleotides (mRNA, ASO, SIRNA etc.); a SME is oligo-peptide analysis
-Minimum 10 years of experience with mass spectrometry and general chromatography (HPLC/UPLC)
-Experience developing, optimizing, transferring, and validating analytical methods from scratch
-Experience interpreting compounds and structures to create methods and troubleshoot
-Hands-on experience with Protein Metrics software to help analyze data
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience helping put together quotes and proposals
-Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) as an analytical technique
Job Description
A global leader in bioanalytic and biopharmaceutical testing is seeking a Principal Scientist who is a SME in oligonucleotide/peptide analysis to join their growing team. This resource will be on-site 5 days a week in the Lancaster, PA area. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mass spectrometry, general HPLC/ chromatography experience, and be a SME in oligonucleotide/ peptides. This role involves developing and validating methods from scratch for new compounds (i.e. drug substances) and helping to prepare detailed quotes and proposals. This resource will play a pivotal role on the team by being a SME in the field of oligonucleotides/ peptides to be client facing and market oligonucleotide offerings with opportunity to attend conferences.
Compensation:
$85,000 to $95,000.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
