Job Description

We seek a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at problem-solving and critical thinking, is confident in oligonucleotide synthesis, and can effectively train others.

Key Responsibilities:

Synthesis: Assist in the synthesis of oligonucleotides using automated synthesizers. Follow established protocols and ensure accuracy in reagent preparation and reaction conditions.
Purification: Perform purification of oligonucleotides using techniques such as FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography) and HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). Monitor purification processes to achieve high-quality results.
Analysis: Analytical assays will be conducted to verify the quality and identity of synthesized oligonucleotides using LC-MS.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results. Ensure all documentation is compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Lab Maintenance: Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment. Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior chemists and other team members to support ongoing projects. Contribute to problem-solving discussions.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate will Have:

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and conveying technical information clearly.
Good scientific thinking, initiative, and ability to troubleshoot.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 2-6 years of experience OR
Master’s degree with 2-3 years of experience
Hands-on experience performing solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis and FPLC/HPLC purification
Proficient in the operation of automated synthesizers
Experienced in the application of LC-MS for analysis of oligonucleotides
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Details:
