Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Principal Scientist, Data Science to define and lead end-to-end imaging data products across clinical development. You will scale data platforms, promote FAIR principles, and partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to translate imaging data into clinical value.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent, 10+ years in medical imaging, and hands-on expertise with DICOM, PACS, and AI/ML in imaging.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; PhD or equivalent preferred.
• Advanced degree in Imaging Health Sciences or related field.
• Background in Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Medicine, Medical Physics, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Define an end-to-end vision for medical imaging data products (ingestion, curation, integration, consumption).
• Lead development and scaling of imaging data products aligned to clinical trial and therapeutic needs.
• Enable data standards and governance (promote FAIR principles; ensure regulatory, privacy, and ethical compliance).
• Partner with therapeutic and disease area leaders to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Lead cross-functional execution with data science, engineering, clinical teams, and external partners (CROs/vendors).
• Modernize imaging pipelines, platforms, and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Expand the imaging data product portfolio aligned to clinical development priorities.

• Lead development and scaling of imaging data products aligned to clinical trial and therapeutic needs.

• Ability to translate complex imaging data into business and clinical value; strong stakeholder engagement.
