Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation is seeking a Principal Scientist in San Antonio, TX to lead Environmental Investigation & Remediation projects. You will build client relationships, oversee proposals, and collaborate across divisions to grow revenue while ensuring project safety, quality, and profitability.

The role requires a BS or higher in a related field and 15+ years of environmental consulting experience, with leadership and mentoring abilities. PE/PG preferred but not required.

• Minimum 15 years of direct environmental consulting experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• PE, PG, or other professional certification preferred, but not required.

• Lead or assist in municipalities or other entity proposals (RFPs/RFQs) for Investigation & Remediation.

You will contribute to the firm's success by:· Leverage existing and develop new relationships with clients, vendors, and industry network to generate leads and opportunities for revenue growth.· Actively participate in industry or professional organizations and attend selected industry conferences with the goal of growing relationships and understanding market trends.· Assist or lead preparation of municipalities or other entity proposal/qualifications solicitations (RFPs/RFQs) with Investigation & Remediation-related scopes of work.· Collaborate with other divisions of the firm to drive cross-selling opportunities.· Serve as Principal in Charge for selected clients and projects, serving as liaison between client and project team.· Work with Project Managers (PMs) to develop and execute project scopes and drive project safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.· Rally the project team, keep them on track, and drive projects to completion.· Work with Operational Managers to identify and develop staffing resources to prepare for and complete projects.· Provide mentorship, training, and professional development to staff and PMs, including periodic training in field investigation methods.· Active participation in office engagement and team building events.· Perform technical work and serve as Senior Quality Reviewer of project deliverables on a variety of Investigation & Remediation projects including due diligence, TCEQ & RRC regulatory reporting, and risk-based assessments/remediation (e.g. TRRP, LPST).**What We'd Love to See in You:**· BS degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field and a minimum of 15 years of direct environmental consulting experience.· Demonstrated, high-level of experience and knowledge of environmental investigation and remediation as they apply to commercial, industrial, and energy clients.· Detail-oriented, motivated, analytical thinker, problem solver with a driven work ethic.· Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring junior and mid-level staff.· Strong desire to help build and grow a client base through diverse business development initiatives.· Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.· Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.· PE, PG, or other professional certification preferred, but not required.#LI-CT1Compensation Range:$108,000.00 - $162,000.00*As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or disability status.**Braun Intertec strives to ensure that its careers web site is accessible to all.
