Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal BLOS Electronics Communication Engineer for Melbourne, FL. The role supports program needs in office settings and is tied to clearances and security requirements.

The candidate will lead trade studies, requirements development, and system architecture discussions across engineering domains, interfacing with government sponsors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with required years of experience; or Master's/PhD with related experience.
• Ability to work with software, hardware, mechanical, and reliability teams.
• Experience with trade studies: planning, executing, and presenting.
• Full lifecycle systems engineering: concept to verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead specification development, integration, and test strategies for SATCOM platforms.
• Conduct systems engineering analyses for requirement trades and end-to-end performance.
• Identify and communicate uncertainties, risks, and opportunities in system architectures.
• Present program uncertainties, mitigation approaches, and recommendations to leadership and sponsors.
• Lead development, decomposition, and peer review of system requirements.
• Manage requirements, interfaces, and architecture change throughout the lifecycle.
• Translate analysis outcomes into guidance for U.S. Government agencies.
• Chair multidisciplinary working groups and coordinate across domains and stakeholders.
• Support planning, execution, and reporting of complex trade studies and capability analyses.
