Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Principal SAP S/4 IT Analyst to lead R2R finance processes and SAP S/4HANA design, configuration, and optimization. The role requires deep expertise in FI/CO, Universal Journal, Fiori apps, and cross-functional system integration.

The candidate will transform finance processes, drive governance, and collaborate with stakeholders while working from the Charlotte, NC office on a hybrid schedule. 100% onsite for the first 90 days, then hybrid transparency continues.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP FI/CO experience with extensive hands-on configuration.
• Experience leading or consulting S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Experience in agile delivery models or SAP Activate methodology.
• Strong proficiency in Universal Journal (ACDOCA), FI-GL, and S/4HANA Universal Asset Management.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP/IFRS, close lifecycle, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications and integration with EPM systems.
• End-to-end finance process knowledge in Record-to-Report (R2R).

As a Principal SAP S/4 IT Analyst supporting finance Record-to-Report (R2R) processes at Honeywell, you will leverage deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA finance and management accounting modules to design, implement, and optimize enterprise financial systems that drive business efficiency and accuracy. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration and alignment of financial processes with business objectives, supporting strategic decision‑making and operational excellence.

You will report directly to the Senior IT Manager and work from the Charlotte, NC office on a hybrid schedule. For the first 90 days, new hires must work 100% onsite Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP solution design, configuration, and delivery with extensive hands‑on expertise across core finance and controlling processes.
• Drive SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs using SAP Activate and Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and best practices.
• Design, configure, and support SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules with a focus on General Ledger, Asset Accounting, and Period‑End Close tools.
• Oversee end‑to‑end integration of SAP FI/CO, ensuring seamless cross‑functional business processes.
• Implement and support SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions including Universal Journal and SAP Fiori applications.
• Lead integration of SAP S/4HANA with upstream and downstream systems, including core EPM systems while ensuring compliance.
• Provide solution architecture guidance, stakeholder collaboration, and governance across complex finance transformation initiatives.

• Strong proficiency in Universal Journal (ACDOCA), General Ledger (FI‑GL), Profit/Cost Center Accounting, Asset Accounting, and S/4HANA Universal Asset Management.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP/IFRS), the financial close lifecycle, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting.
• Proven experience with S/4HANA Finance, SAP Fiori applications, integration with downstream and connected applications including external EPM systems.
• End‑to‑end finance process knowledge in Record‑to‑Report (R2R).
