Job Summary:

Honeywell is a leading software-industrial company that invents and commercializes technologies to address critical global challenges. The Principal Rotating Equipment Engineer will lead the Rotating Equipment team, managing multiple projects and supporting sales opportunities while driving improvements and coaching other engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and Execute Multiple Projects from Requests for Quotation (RFQ) through Testing and Startup

• Teach & Coach other Rotating Equipment Engineers

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution is required

• 15+ years of Rotating Equipment experience (design, application, operations, or maintenance)

• Experience and knowledge of API standards related to rotating equipment API: 610, 611, 612, 613, 614, 617, 618, 619, 670, 671, 672, 673, 674, 675, 676, 682, 685, 692, etc

• Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, lube oil systems, and seals

• Experience in the specification and procurement of rotating equipment, including their auxiliary support systems

• Ability to communicate well with suppliers in both written and verbal communication

• Ability to work well in a team environment and provide proper updates to Project managers, Project Engineers, and Procurement on the status of requisitions and document reviews

• Capable of multi-tasking to maintain contributions for several projects simultaneously and on schedule

• Organizational skills must include a disciplined approach to maintaining project files for team use and good documentation of correspondence and issue resolution

• Good working knowledge and use of the following software applications: Adobe Acrobat Standard, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Word, EXCEL, Power Point)

Preferred:

• Masters's degree in Engineering or a related field

• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team

• Ability to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers

• Experience in technical writing and preparation of proposals

• Proven ability to drive results and achieve targets

• Experience with High Temperature Centrifugal Fans / Blowers is a plus

• Experience in an equipment manufacturing environment or operating plant is a plus
