Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL has an opening for a Principal/Senior Principal Research and Advanced Design Test Engineer. You will work on RF testing, test plans, instrumentation, and cloud/radio systems for advanced battle management capabilities. Travel up to 25% may be required.

The role supports the BASt portfolio and requires DoD security clearances and strong documentation skills. Opportunities include overtime and discretionary bonuses.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5+ years related experience; Master’s with 3+; Ph.D. with 1+.
Active DoD Secret or higher clearance with recent background investigation.
Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance and SAP clearance.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Developing comprehensive test plans.
Creating CONOPs (Concept of Operations) documents.
Overseeing instrumentation setup and management.
Providing support for demonstrations and field exercise tests.
Collection of metrics and result analysis.
System deployment and configuration.
Cloud system configuration and testing.
