Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Principal Radar Software Engineer/Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, Alabama.

The role focuses on designing, developing, integrating, and sustaining advanced radar software for sensor missions. The selected candidate will apply deep expertise in software engineering, radar systems, and mission-focused development to deliver reliable and maintainable software solutions.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE as stated; extensive radar software experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AL and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, test, integration, and sustainment of radar software applications for sensor objectives.
• Contribute to software architecture, implementation, and performance optimization for radar and sensor processing systems.
• Support software data processing, track management, system interfaces, and mission applications.
• Coordinate software integration across system, subsystem, and lab environments.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and other teams to translate requirements into software designs.
• Participate in code reviews, technical reviews, and software quality improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support verification and validation activities, including unit/integration/regression testing.
• Prepare technical documentation and status inputs for stakeholders.
• Support Agile development activities, including sprint planning and risk identification.
