Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Principal Radar Software Engineer/Analyst in Huntsville, AL to design, develop, integrate, and sustain advanced radar software for missile defense and sensor missions.

The role requires deep expertise in radar software, systems integration, and mission-focused development, coordinating with system engineers, test, modeling, and government stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's degree with extensive experience in radar/sensor or defense systems.
US citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
Extensive software design, development, debugging, integration and test experience.
Familiarity with software configuration management and modern development practices.
Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

Oversee radar software applications from design through sustainment for sensor mission objectives.
Contribute to software architecture and performance optimization for radar and sensor processing.
Support data processing, track management, system interfaces, and mission applications.
Lead software integration across system, subsystem, and lab environments.
Collaborate with systems engineers to translate requirements into implementable software designs.
Participate in code reviews, technical reviews, and software quality improvements.
