Job summary

Imperative Care in Campbell, California is seeking a Principal R&D Engineer to lead design and implement innovative neurovascular product developments. This on-site, full-time role requires deep technical leadership and mentoring across teams.

You will drive manufacturability, quality, and regulatory alignment, mentor engineers, and contribute to a fast-paced environment focused on patient impact and breakthrough devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related discipline).
• Minimum 12+ years in medical device innovation or related regulated industry.
• Experience leading cross-functional product development.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned technical projects in catheter engineering to drive value improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate performance of new product designs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conceptualize and prototype new product designs and enhancements based on needs.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable within budget and schedule constraints.
