Job summary

Imperative Care is seeking a Principal R&D Engineer to lead advanced development of neurovascular and endovascular products in our Campbell, California office. This on-site, full-time role requires deep engineering expertise and leadership to drive innovation, manufacturability, and regulatory alignment.

You will mentor other engineers, lead cross-functional projects, and push for improvements based on customer needs and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years of related experience driving innovation in medical devices.
• Experience leading a technical cross-functional team.
• Self-directed with initiative and strong documentation/communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead Catheter engineering projects to drive value improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate performance and identify opportunities for new development.
• Conceptualize prototypes and innovations through research and discussions.
• Ensure designs facilitate manufacturability within budget/schedule.
