Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper in Frisco, TX, is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead process technology development for powdered beverages, emulsions, and complex ingredient systems, translating formulation intent into scalable manufacturing solutions.

You will drive scale-up from bench to plant, perform DOE studies, lead trials, mentor teams, and partner cross-functionally to ensure product quality, safety, cost, and speed-to-market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 10+ years in R&D/process engineering or related CPG roles.
• Commercialization experience with powdered beverages, dry mix systems, emulsions, or complex ingredient platforms.
• Deep domain knowledge in either powder/particle systems or liquid/colloidal systems; cross-domain integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and scale-up for powdered beverages, dry mixes, emulsions, and complex ingredient systems from bench through commercialization.
• Define material and processing requirements for powder flow, dry blending, dispersion, dissolution, hydration, agglomeration, and variability.
• Apply particle science, rheology, transport phenomena, and first-principles engineering to guide decisions.
• Develop robust processing solutions for emulsification, stabilizer systems, viscosity control, texture, and shelf-life stability.
• Translate formulation intent into scalable process designs that protect flavor, color, and sensory quality.
• Define process-critical parameters, operating windows, and readiness criteria; lead DOE studies, pilot and plant trials, validation, and readiness reviews.
• Mentor others, communicate tradeoffs to stakeholders, and drive data-driven scale-up and commercialization.
