About The Job

We are seeking an experienced Principal QA Engineer/Manager to establish a world-class QA function across our enterprise systems. You will build and lead a QA team, define QA strategy, implement test automation frameworks, and ensure comprehensive testing of critical applications like Salesforce, NetSuite, and Workday. This hands-on leadership role involves designing test processes, creating scripts, and guiding quality engineering efforts. You will also manage and grow a QA team with at least 3 years of management experience.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to embed quality practices into the development lifecycle, emphasizing scalability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing QA team, including hiring, mentoring, and setting best practices.
• Manage team performance and support career development.
• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise applications.
• Create and execute manual and automated test scripts for platforms like Salesforce, NetSuite, and internal tools.
• Select appropriate testing tools and frameworks for automation, performance, and integration testing.
• Work with engineering and product teams to develop effective test strategies based on business requirements.
• Define and manage the QA roadmap, including sprint testing plans and release readiness.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid feedback and confident releases.
• Monitor test metrics, analyze defects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish QA best practices, coding standards, and documentation procedures.
• Coordinate with DevOps to maintain stable testing environments and data sets.
• Advise leadership on quality risks and mitigation strategies throughout the SDLC.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging testing technologies, recommending their adoption.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in QA, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams and strategy.
• Proven experience managing QA engineers or similar roles.
• Deep expertise with automated testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or TestCafe, and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience selecting and implementing large-scale test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) and version control (Git).
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and shift-left testing practices.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, and managing test documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to automation and testing activities.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP or cloud-based systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday).
• Knowledge of performance/load testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Selenium Tester.
• Experience building QA teams or processes from scratch, especially in startups or greenfield environments.
